Excerpt:

This is the second of a three-part series on the Oporto-based Sellers family, which has been in Portugal since the early 19th century. Part I of the story1 outlined the beginnings of the family’s long association with Portugal and, in particular, the exploits and achievements of the ‘founding father’, FWS. This part shares a lesser known episode of FWS’s life. The third and final part will bring us up to the contemporary history of the fourth and fifth generations.
