The BHSP played an active role in supporting the restoration of the Lines of Torres Vedras to be ready in time for the bicentenary in 2010. The author describes the steps taken to organise the restoration and the difficulties faced along the way. He describes the work carried out and the financing provided, lamenting the fact that no official British support was given.
