The British Cemetery in Salvador da Bahia is one of three British or, more precisely, non-Catholic cemeteries remaining in Brazil, the others being in Rio de Janeiro and Recife. The author, who previously contributed an article on the Rio de Janeiro cemetery to the Society’s 2005 Annual Report,1 now reviews the history of the Salvador cemetery as well as some of the more interesting graves.
