Excerpt:

Following a request to the Society for information about the actor Leslie Howard's visit to Lisbon prior to his death when the plane he was in was shot down, two members shared their experiences, one on his visit and one on having flown to London from Lisbon when the plane was attacked by German fighters. Douglas Wheeler discusses in more detail the possible reasons for the attack, which may have been because one of the passengers resembled Churchill.
