Thursday 26 September. 18.30. Official launch of the Anglo-Portuguese News (APN) website at St Julian's School, Carcavelos. Friday 18 October. 17.30. Talk by Dr Mark Thompson, the author of various books on the Peninsular War and an acclaimed authority on the Lines of Torres Vedras. Academia de Letras e Artes (ALA), Av. Castelhana 15, Monte Estoril. SAVE THE DATE

PORTO GROUP

Saturday 26 October. 15.30 (time to be confirmed). Drª Filipa Lowndes Vicente,  researcher at the Institute of Social Sciences, Lisbon University, and an expert on India will repeat a talk given to the Lisbon members in July, and titled "Goa is a Place an Englishman Ought to Visit." British Travellers in Goa  (1850-1950).  To be followed by tea in the lounge or long room at the Oporto Cricket and Lawn Tennis Club (OCLTC).

Wednesday 20 November, 1830, OCLTC. Alan Dawber and Isabel Andrade Silva will give a talk entitled "100 Years of the two Crystal Palaces,  Hyde Park/Sydenham and Porto,  (1851 To  1951)."
