"An accidental witness to the turbulent days after 25 de Abril in Mozambique"

Join us for a fun dinner at Clube Dom Carlos, in Areia, near Guincho. Before the three course meal we will hear a first-hand account of what it was like to live in the capital of Mozambique before, during, and after the tumultuous 25 de Abril Revolution in the ex-Portuguese colony from our guest speaker - Professor Luís Mota de Castro.

 

3 course menu: Entrée – Sheep’s cheese (de Azeitão), Shrimp rissoís, Meat croquettes, Tuna spread.

1st Course – Codfish with béchamel sauce (Bacalhau Espiritual).

2nd Course – Duck Rice (Arroz de PatoSide dishes – Rice, Chips, Salad. Note: a special menu can be ordered. Please indicate below.

Dessert – Cheesecake, Chocolate and Coffee Cake, Chocolate Mousse, Pudim Flan, Fruit.

Transport from Lisbon/Cascais: a pool of Members’ cars will be available for those who indicate a need below.
