Venue: The Hotel Riviera, Carcavelos.

 

Programme: After welcome refreshments before the gala lunch there will be a talk by General Rui Moura on the 'The life of General Pamplona', a Portuguese aristrocrat who fought for Napoleon during the Peninsular War and was on Marshall Masséna's staff during the French Invasion of Portugal, his home country, in 1810. After lunch, we will be privileged to hear another talk on the same period - 'Musical Compositions of Erdmann Neuparth in Portugal during the Peninsular War', by Mrs. Maria João Moura.

 

Lunch: A three course buffet with drinks and coffe will be served at the restaurant of the Hotel Riviera.

Transport: Members and their guests are expected to make their own way to the hotel - where there is free parking in an underground carpark.
