The British Historical Society of Portugal (BHSP) is proud to announce the launch of our new website, which has been completely redesigned to provide a more attractive and functional experience.
A catalogue of over fifty years’ worth of historical articles is easily accessible, as is a list of all of our publications for sale, together with the contents of the Library. This rich research material covers information as diverse as the history of long-standing Anglo-Portuguese families, through to eyewitness accounts of the 1755 Earthquake and the 1974-1976 Revolution, as well as publications on iconic buildings with an Anglo-Portuguese connection.
Our new website provides a clear message of who we are and what we do and includes readily-available information regarding forthcoming and past Events and News items. Those interested in visiting the Peninsular War sites need look no further than the Battlefield Tours pages.
