Our Annual Lunch will this year take place at the beautifully appointed Quinta de Sant’Ana, Gradil, Mafra, a family-owned estate just north of the Tapada de Mafra. Before lunch Vasco d’Avillez, well known to many members of the Society as an expert in all aspects of the production of fine wines, will speak to us about the culture of wine appreciation in Portugal and in the United Kingdom. Hopefully he will also tell us something of the history of the Quinta de Sant’Ana. After lunch members will have an opportunity to buy some of the estate’s fine wines as well as other items produced in the area.
The price for this event, including transportation and lunch, is €49,50 per person. Members who do not have the enrolment form to hand are are requested to contact info@bhsportugal.org not later than Wednesday 11th January.
